DC Srinagar felicitates sports achievers | KNO

SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 10 (KNO) : District administration Srinagar Saturday organized a felicitation programme in which sports achievers from the district were felicitated for their achievements at the national and international levels. Those felicitated on the occasion included national and international medalists, including Afreen Hyder and Uroosa Gazi, besides those representing the State for the first time in the Mixed Martial Arts championship at the national level. Deputy Commissioner Dr Syed Abid Rashid Shah presented the sports achievers with mementoes and assured them of all possible encouragement from the district administration. He said the achievements of the sports persons from the district have brought laurels to the State and urged upon one and all to encourage and support them in their endeavours. The programme also saw several coaches from the district being felicitated for their achievements. State awardee Aijaz Hassan, who was recently awarded for his achievements in Wushu, was also present on the occasion.(KNO)
